Membership with District 8 Emergency Preparedness and Planning Coalition is open to all entities or individuals that agree to work collaboratively on multi-hazard preparedness, mitigation, emergency response and recovery activities.

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with agencies, facilities, and emergency preparedness officials throughout the district and state
• Streamlined information and resource sharing
• Participation in district hazard vulnerability assessments and threat and hazard identification risk assessments
• Compliance with the CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule and all regulatory accreditation standards
• Situational intelligence, surveillance, and improved situational awareness with evolving incidents in the District and State
• Improved communication coordination
• Coordinated District drills, training and exercises that test organizational and District capabilities
